The Neighborhood Project

Change starts on your streets.

About

Helping young people find, create, and start their own projects, strengthen their communities, and discover that meaningful change can start with one project.

Why Young People?

New perspectives

Giving young people agency to look for problems that might be overlooked.

Learn by doing

Community projects teach leadership, communication, resilience, and problem-solving in ways a classroom can't.

Inspiring one another
Seeing another teenager build something meaningful makes the idea feel achievable.

Lifelong civic engagement
Young people who improve their communities today build skills to continue doing so as adults.

Why Neighborhoods?

Neighborhoods are where we experience community every day. They're where we meet new people, go on walks, visit local businesses, and form a sense of belonging. When we invest in the places closest to us, even through small projects, we help create communities that are more connected.
